Love Letter from Laura

Hey, sweetie!

We know...
It’s been a little while since our last Love Letter. But we’ve missed this space — and more importantly, you.

BOHEMA was never just about hair. It’s about the community we’re building — the one we already call family. So, we’re bringing back our weekly Love Letters. A space to connect more deeply, to share the stories behind the scenes, and to invite yours too.

This week, we’re shining the light on Laura — our quietly brilliant creative who works hand-in-hand with Zofija to make everything look 'more beautiful and more BOHEMA.' From graphic design to those tiny thoughtful touches, she’s the magic behind many of the visuals you see and love.

We didn’t meet Laura long ago — but the connection was instant. Her calm confidence, care for detail, and gentle creativity felt like the perfect match for our world.

We can’t wait for you to get to know her too, so... Enjoy the answers and the beautiful message Laura has for your soul. 💌

Tell us about yourself — where did your creative journey begin?

I'm Laura — a graphic designer from the forests and valleys of Dzūkija, Lithuania. My creative path started in childhood, when my mum took me to music school to learn the violin. Over time, I wanted to try more and more different artistic activities, so alongside violin lessons, I began singing, dancing, drawing, acting… I loved it all so much that I tried to be everywhere. Eventually, I realised I would definitely do something artistic and creative in the future. I discovered design while studying communication in London, and since then, I've been learning mostly through trial, error, and a deep sense of curiosity.

What inspires you most these days?

I'm most inspired by close people, self-care, and nature. Sometimes even a simple walk in the city with a cup of coffee can spark new thoughts and ideas.

How did you discover BOHEMA, and what was your first impression?

I came across BOHEMA completely unexpectedly! I saw an invitation to contribute to the brand's visual updates and immediately wrote a short introduction message to Zofija. That’s how our creative time together began! At first, I was drawn to BOHEMA by its bold and cozy visual identity, but later I realised it’s so much more than designit’s an attitude and a brave way of being yourself.

Has working with BOHEMA changed your perspective on beauty or brands in any way?

I really love that BOHEMA is first and foremost about community, sincere conversations, and self-love. It’s all very real and authentic.

What does the word BOHEMA mean to you — visually or in life?

Visually, BOHEMA means the freedom not to fit into any boxes. It’s colourful, playful, ambitious aesthetics, imperfect lines and a harmony of warm tones. In life — it’s the freedom to be and create exactly how you want.

Do you have any creative rituals you always do before working?

I like to work out, eat something tasty, and listen to jazz on my vinyl player. Then I take a little scroll through my “inspiration drawer”: paintings, words, textures, photos…

What message would you give to other creatives in Lithuania who might be considering a creative path?

Don’t be afraid to start — even if it feels like you don’t know enough. Creativity doesn’t need a diploma; it’s born from a strong inner desire. Be yourself, experiment, make mistakes, and you’ll see how joyful it is to create!

What would you wish for the BOHEMA community?

Stay brave and sensitive. Celebrate yourself, your loved ones, and your beautifully creative life. 🌱🧡
