Hey sweetie,
BOHEMA HAIR got its start on that beautiful summer evening in 2023 when Zofija and Luke were walking around Richmond Park in London, daydreaming about carefree living. Zofija was saying that one day it would be a dream to launch a hair care brand that would actually make a difference, not just in your hair but also in your soul. Then something clicked - ‘one day, or day one..?’
Today, we wanted to allow Luke to share his thoughts and opinions about BOHEMA HAIR and experience his point of view on how BOHEMA HAIR blossomed over time.
Please tell us about yourself briefly.
I'm Luke, I'm a 31 year old guy who is lucky enough to call Zofija my partner. I'm originally from Dover, but I lived and worked all over the UK before recently settling in Surrey. I love exercising and the outdoors, but I'm a bit of a nerd at heart so you're equally likely to find me out out for a run/on my bike or at home with a book or playing games. Oh and I should of course mention that we share our home with three (pet) rats.
What were your initial thoughts when Zofija expressed my idea about creating a hair care brand?
I was very excited from the get go and interested in finding out more about the vision Zofija had in mind for creating the product range, and equally importantly the brand itself. I knew that it was going to be a huge challenge, but I also knew that if anyone was capable of turning their dream into a reality it was Zofija. I was also excited about the opportunity to get involved and offer my thoughts throughout the creative process - it seems crazy to think about how much progress Zofija has made in bringing everything to life since then.
How have your thoughts and opinion changed over time during the development process of BOHEMA HAIR?
I've been lucky enough to be beside Zofija throughout the entire development journey and I've seen what once seemed like a far off vision, rapidly solidify into an amazing brand and set of high quality products. I always knew that the products themselves would be produced to the highest standard, but the really interesting part for me has been seeing what the brand stands for evolve as it has gotten closer to the launch date. It was clear from the start that BOHEMA HAIR would be 'for everyone' but the brand that has emerged really embodies that, from the products being useable by all hair types, through to the marketing which is representative of such a diverse set of people. A really exciting milestone was when Zofija returned from her first visit to the lab, where she had the opportunity to shape the formulation of the BOHEMA HAIR MULTUFUNCTIONAL Ultra-lightweight hair oil. She came back bursting full of ideas about how she could make the best it could be and she should be really proud of what has finally emerged. I'm excited to see what comes next!
What does the word "BOHEMA" mean to you personally?
The word 'bohemian' has been used for hundreds of years to describe arty, unconventional people, who might not feel fully represented by society at large, but for me 'BOHEMA' means even more than this. It's about recognising and celebrating everyone's individual beauty - in whatever shape or form that may come. This has been Zofija's journey, but BOHEMA HAIR has been a big part of my life for the past year as well and the word will always remind me of the power that people have to bring form to their creative ideas.
Is there anything you would like to wish for BOHEMA HAIR people?
I hope that everyone who comes across BOHEMA HAIR can feel the love and dedication which has gone into creating the brand and product range. I can honestly say that the approach of making BOHEMA HAIR 'for everyone', is not just marketing spin, it's representative of the vision that Zofija had right from the start and I hope that everyone can find something to relate to when they come across it for the first time.
